Japan's renowned toy company "STAND STONES" (スタンド・ストーンズ, abbreviated as stasto), following their collaboration with Japanese sculptor Yusuke Okada (Yusuke Okada) on the "Goya Monster," is once again releasing the highly anticipated sequel, the "Goya Monster Second Wave" gashapon, slated to debut in August 2024!
Japanese sculptor Yusuke Okada (Yusuke Okada), a member of the design team Toy Fields, originally specialized in hyperrealistic sculpture and special effects makeup. He gained popularity after creating the "Goya Monster," which combines the bumpy, textured surface of bitter gourd with monster designs, leading to a series of popular soft vinyl and 3D-printed works.
The "stasto Goya Monster Second Wave" gashapon, in sizes ranging from 5 to 9 cm, faithfully recreates the Goya Monster's unique textures and physique, reminiscent of bitter gourd. It features various everyday monster poses, including an attacking standing pose, a resting sitting pose, curled up sleeping, and an intimidating arched-back stance. This time, they reappear with a matte green paint application, along with special pink-painted attacking/resting variations. The dorsal fins feature a beautiful blue gradient! Additionally, making their debut are the baby goya, juvenile, and egg forms (pink/green), offering a more complete representation of the Goya Monster's developmental stages. The sight of the family venturing out together is highly anticipated!
