Japanese model manufacturers GOOD SMILE COMPANY and MAX FACTORY have jointly launched the new character model kit series 'PLAMATEA'. They have announced the latest product based on "Berserk": "PLAMATEA Guts Berserker Armor Ver.", with a suggested retail price of 7,500 JPY, scheduled for release in November 2024!
In "Berserk", when the protagonist Guts battles the "Flame Dragon" Grunbeld, he dons the cursed armor "Berserker Armor" forged by the dwarf tribe. This armor intensely amplifies the deep-seated hatred and resentment dormant within him. The surging, exhilarating rage numbs his pain, replaced by a ferocious, powerful impulse, allowing Guts to fight wildly with strength that transcends human limits! He effortlessly knocks away the Flame Dragon and shatters shields that even cannonballs couldn't penetrate.
The "PLAMATEA Guts Berserker Armor Ver." model kit commercializes Guts' transformation into the "Dark Beast" devoured by the Berserker Armor. Through precise part separation and multi-color molded parts, the wild, beast-like armor is faithfully recreated, showcasing a sharp and robust texture. Incorporating the articulated joint design cultivated by the 'figma' series, along with interchangeable hand parts, a wire-embedded fabric cape, and the "Dragon Slayer" sword, which is taller than his own body, you can enjoy various poses from the series. The eyes are pre-painted parts, creating a tormented and berserk red gaze! Even an unpainted assembly will achieve a look close to the official product images.
