BANDAI SPIRITS Company's HOBBY Division in Japan has announced the latest product from their highly popular character model kit series, 『Figure-riseStandard』: "Ultraman Tiga Multi Type" from Ultraman Tiga, scheduled for release in October 2024.
In its lore, Ultraman Tiga is an ancient "Giant of Light" who protected Earth 30 million years ago. After defeating the dark demon, his body transformed into a stone statue, slumbering in a pyramid deep in the mountains. 30 million years later, he merged with GUTS member Daigo Madoka to once again confront the dark evil god Gatanothor, who sought to destroy civilization. This work was the first to introduce the concept of form changes, allowing Tiga to switch between the Multi Type, which balances power and speed; the Sky Type, specialized in speed and technique; and the Power Type, specialized in strength and endurance.
The "Ultraman Tiga Multi Type" is the first sticker-less kit in the Figure-rise Standard Ultraman series. The entire body's silver, blue, and red colors, the golden parts on the chest, and the clear parts on the forehead are all faithfully reproduced using molded part colors. It also inherits the series' mature movable joint design. Currently, only a prototype of the product has been displayed, and detailed product information will be released at a later date.
