Issued by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectible toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, the "Figuarts mini" movable figure series, which reinterprets popular characters from various works in a low-head-to-body ratio, today (30th) announced the latest products from Japanese manga artist Yukinobu Tatsu's "Dandadan": "Momo Ayase" (モモ) and "Okarun" (オカルン)! They are scheduled for release starting October 2024, with a suggested retail price of 3,200 JPY each.

The story of "Dandadan" is set in a modern world where supernatural phenomena and alien technology coexist. The male protagonist, Ken Takakura, is an otaku who doesn't believe in ghosts but believes in aliens. The female protagonist, Momo Ayase, is the exact opposite; raised by her psychic grandmother since childhood, she believes in ghosts but doesn't believe in aliens at all. By chance, the two embark on a "ghost/alien hunting competition." As a result, Momo Ayase, who was abducted by aliens, awakens her own superpowers. On the other hand, Takakura is cursed by the yokai "Turbo Granny." To restore Takakura's body to its original state, the two begin special training with Momo Ayase's grandmother, Seiko Ayase...
※ Because Momo Ayase's dream man is the tough guy "Ken Takakura," she was too shy to call out to Takakura, who coincidentally shares the same name. Due to Takakura's interest in metaphysics and the occult, she calls him Okarun.
Produced according to the anime's settings, the Figuarts mini Momo Ayase and Okarun figures recreate their high school uniform appearances at a height of 9 cm. Momo Ayase's bouncy bangs, alien earrings, and loose socks are meticulously reproduced. For Takakura, his seaweed-like hair, glasses, and large, round eyes are fully crafted. These two characters are definitely a must-have together!
