Hong Kong toy manufacturer threezero's "FigZero" 1/6 scale articulated figure series, which features characters from American and Japanese anime and tokusatsu, has announced a new product based on the comic book version of 《Power Rangers》 – the "Green Ranger Matt Cook (Chaos Energy Version)" 1/6 scale articulated figure. This item is limited to 500 pieces worldwide and is expected to be released in the third quarter of 2024!
In 1993, businessman Haim Saban introduced Toei Company's 1992 Super Sentai series 《Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger》 to the European and American markets. To cater to Western audiences, Saban Entertainment utilized the Japanese tokusatsu footage, reshooting and replacing the live-action scenes featuring the actors' faces, adapting it into the original 《Power Rangers》. Due to its immense success, many derivative works were subsequently released. This product is based on the comic book series published by American comic book publisher Boom! Studios!
The "Green Ranger Matt Cook (Chaos Energy Version)" 1/6 scale articulated figure stands approximately 30 cm tall. It references the Green Ranger's appearance in the 《Power Rangers》 comic after being influenced by the green Chaos Crystal. The figure features 34 points of articulation throughout its body, with a fabric costume recreating the Green Ranger's suit, and sculpted details on the helmet and shoulder armor. Accessories include the classic Dragon Dagger and the Sword of Darkness. Furthermore, the biggest highlight of this release is the use of UV-reactive neon paint for the helmet and the lines extending across the body, which will glow blue in the dark, recreating the Chaos Energy effects from the comic!
