BANDAI SPIRITS' Collectors Division, TAMASHII NATIONS, from Japan, has announced today that the latest product from the "S.H.MonsterArts" series, which combines exquisite monster sculpting with outstanding articulation technology, the "Furious Rajang" from "Monster Hunter," is scheduled for release in January 2025.
The Fanged Beast monster, "Rajang," is a highly dangerous creature with extreme aggression and territoriality. Any creature that enters its line of sight will be killed without hesitation, and very few have survived to provide eyewitness reports. It is believed to possess combat capabilities on par with Elder Dragons. The name Rajang comes from its head and back fur suddenly turning golden and standing on end when it enters an excited state. Its arm muscles significantly harden, entering a "Ki Hardening" state, and it can unleash a golden energy beam, "Ki Blast," from its mouth. There have been instances of individuals that constantly maintain this state, known as the "Furious Rajang."
The "S.H.MonsterArts Furious Rajang" meticulously recreates its in-game appearance through vivid sculpting and precise articulation design. Its characteristic golden fur is rendered with clear parts to convey a sense of luster, and the distinctive black and yellow stripes across its body are also faithfully reproduced with paintwork. The entire body is designed with numerous articulated points and joints where internal parts are not exposed, allowing for a wide range of poses, including various attacks, intimidations, and even lying down to sleep.
Accessories include three interchangeable facial expressions: normal, roaring, and sleeping. In addition to the common open palm and clenched fist, there are also three types of sculpted hands for both left and right, including a thumbs-up gesture that can recreate the meme "イージャン" (Good Job!). Coupled with the highly flexible main body, a variety of scenes can be reproduced!
