TAKARA TOMY's toy brand T-ARTS in Japan has launched a new product based on Pixar's classic animated film "Toy Story 2" – the "Toy Story 2 Connecting Character Mascot" gashapon. The suggested retail price is 300 JPY per capsule, with an anticipated release in August 2024!
T-ARTS' "Connecting Character Mascot" (ゆらゆらつながるマスコット) series transforms characters from various IPs into adorable mascots that can be linked together via hooks. Previous gashapon releases in this series have featured themes like Cinnamoroll and Snoopy. Following the previous "Toy Story 4 Connecting Character Mascot" which included characters like Woody and Bo Peep, this new release focuses on the 1999 sequel "Toy Story 2," featuring four designs: Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Slinky Dog, and the Little Green Men. Each character is crafted with a dynamic, suspended pose, creating a visual effect of one character leading to the next when linked. These can even be combined with the previous series to form an even longer chain of mascots!
