BANPRESTO, a prize figure brand under Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company, will release its latest product based on "The Fable," the character figure "-Bathfreude- Akira Sato." It will be sold as a prize item, with an anticipated release in August 2024!
Authored by Japanese manga artist Katsuhisa Minami, "The Fable (ザ・ファブル)" tells the story of the legendary top assassin, Fable. Having undergone rigorous assassin training since the age of six, he is rumored to be able to eliminate any enemy within six seconds, striking fear even into the underworld. However, under orders from his boss, he assumes the alias Akira Sato and, disguised as siblings with his partner Yoko Sato, relocates to Osaka for a year to live a normal life where killing is forbidden.
The BANPRESTO prize figure "-Bathfreude- Akira Sato" sculpts Sato, who habitually sleeps nude in a bathtub, into a three-dimensional form! Despite being in a bathtub, he sports a remarkably peaceful sleeping expression. The official images cleverly avoid angles that would reveal his lower body, which is covered only by a white towel. Paired with a bathtub-shaped base, this figure makes a striking display! While the overall design is quite simple and lacks overly complex details, fans of "The Fable" are sure to be deeply captivated by Sato lying in the bathtub!
