Hasbro, a renowned American toy manufacturer, through its Marvel 6-inch action figure series "Marvel Legends," exclusively revealed a new wave of upcoming "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" themed products on the well-known American entertainment news website Collider yesterday (August 5th). This article will first introduce two new characters joining the action figure series: "Spider-Man India" and "Miles G. Morales." Both figures have a suggested retail price of US$24.99 and will be available for pre-order by fans on the Hasbro Pulse official website at 2:00 PM EST on August 8, 2024!
Spider-Man India, whose real name is Pavitr Prabhakar, is the Spider-Man of Earth-50101, a city called "Mumbattan" that combines features of Mumbai and Manhattan. He uses web-slinging in a yo-yo-like fashion, possesses impressive hair, and boundless confidence. In the movie, he had only been Spider-Man for six months.
"Miles G. Morales" is the Miles from Earth-42 who was supposed to become Spider-Man. However, in "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse," the radioactive spider from that universe was brought to Earth-1610 by The Spot, causing our protagonist Miles to become a variant who shouldn't have been Spider-Man. Earth-42 also lost its Spider-Man's protection and became an extremely dark universe, and the Miles G. Morales who was supposed to be a hero became the Prowler of that universe.
These two action figures faithfully recreate the characters' appearances from the movie. For Spider-Man India, his exotic Spider-suit and his proud, flowing hair are meticulously crafted. Accessories include his yo-yo-like web effect, a pair of interchangeable hands, and an alternate masked head sculpt. The fabric in the crotch area is made of soft plastic, and both the knees and elbows feature double joints for various dynamic poses!
The most anticipated figure, Miles G. Morales, recreates his look in his Prowler suit. The deep purple suit, coupled with high-tech claws and other accessories, exudes a powerful sense of intimidation. The paint application faithfully reproduces various details on the suit and the spray-painted Prowler emblem on his chest, also recreating the shoe design modified from Air Jordan 1 Utility. Accessories include an alternate head sculpt, a pair of interchangeable hands, and a metallic backpack worn on his back. The unmasked head sculpt captures the Prowler Miles' cool expression, radiating a villainous charm!
