Hong Kong's emerging toy brand SKY X STUDIO is launching a new product based on the classic mecha anime "Ninja Senshi Tobikage" — the "SXD-13 Tobikage" die-cast articulated figure. The suggested retail price is HKD 1280, and it is expected to be released in November 2024!
"Ninja Senshi Tobikage" is a mecha anime series produced in 1985 by Studio Pierrot, directed by Masami Anno, with mecha designs by Yasuyasu Moriki and Koichi Ohata. It tells the story of Joe Maya, a boy living in a Martian colony, who by chance gets caught up in a war between two alien factions. Together with his childhood friends Rennie, Mike, and others, he pilots humanoid mechs like Tobikage and Houraiou to rise up in resistance.
The protagonist mech Tobikage, released this time, stands approximately 22 cm tall, meticulously recreating the chainmail on Tobikage's arms and the ninja-inspired design of its hood. The arms and knees feature double-joint articulation, and the figure is partially made of die-cast metal, allowing for stable posing in various dynamic stances! Accessories include a large number of interchangeable hands, a chain grapple, shurikens, a sword, a bow, a gun, and other weapons. It also comes with effect parts that can be equipped on both sides of the main body, allowing for powerful displays of launching the Meteor Chain!
