Following the "Atreides Royal Ornithopter," model manufacturer MENG Model is once again releasing a new product based on "Dune" – the "Spice Harvester" non-scale assembly model. The suggested retail price is 11,480 JPY, with an anticipated release in September 2024!
The Spice Harvester is a large, heavy mobile factory specifically designed for harvesting spice. It is transported by a Carryall across the surface of Arrakis for spice collection, typically requiring 20 pilots for simultaneous operation. The regular rhythm of the Spice Harvester's operation makes it an easy target for Sandworms, thus requiring two to three Ornithopters (Spotters) to constantly circle overhead during harvesting, watching for any signs of Sandworms.
This non-scale assembly model of the Spice Harvester is officially licensed by Legendary Pictures. Once assembled, it measures approximately 20 cm in length. Despite its reduced scale, it faithfully recreates the substantial and imposing form of the Spice Harvester, with sculpted details that restore various mechanical structures and intricacies. The 16 sets of tracks at the bottom feature movable mechanisms, allowing them to swing back and forth and side to side, replicating their movement according to terrain changes!
