Japanese toy company MEGAHOUSE today officially announced the commemorative product, the 'American Battle Dome Reissue', slated for release in December 2024, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the highly popular marble board game from the 1990s, 'American Battle Dome'.
American Battle Dome was originally a four-player marble game launched by American company Anjar in 1994. Four players continuously launch marbles falling from the dome, aiming to shoot them into opponents' territories while preventing them from entering their own, engaging in thrilling and intense battles. The product was also introduced and sold in Japan by Tsukuda ORIGINAL in the same year. Its television commercial, released during that period, became famous for its loud catchphrase "Super EXCITING!" and the children's exaggerated performances, gaining widespread popularity during the heyday of Niconico Douga.
Years later, due to poor management, Tsukuda ORIGINAL underwent multiple business transfers and was eventually absorbed by MEGAHOUSE, a subsidiary of Bandai. Therefore, with the release of this reissue, MEGAHOUSE has completely paid homage to the original television commercial, with the four children now appearing as adults, sparking widespread discussion on Japanese social media.

The resurrected 'American Battle Dome Reissue' for the modern era completely recreates the 1994 version using modern manufacturing processes. Notably, the illustration design on the outer packaging is almost identical to the original, featuring a hand-drawn style full of retro charm. However, the two boys in the illustration have been redrawn as adults, symbolizing Battle Dome's journey across 30 years.
The Battle Dome main unit retains the same impressive size as the old version, measuring 75.5 cm. It faithfully reproduces the vibrant color scheme of each component. For the scale, numbers, and other graphic stickers, both the 1994 original and 2010 remake designs are available for selection. The marble drop mechanism at the top uses spring-powered rotation, allowing for super EXCITING battles with friends and family without the need for batteries!
