Famous poster design and toy company MONDO has announced a new product based on the classic series "Batman: The Animated Series" – the "Poison Ivy" 1/6 scale collectible figure. Both a Timed Edition and a Standard Edition will be released simultaneously, with reference prices of US$210 and US$195 respectively. Pre-orders will open on the MONDO official website starting August 27th at noon CT, with an estimated shipping date of November 2024!
Poison Ivy first appeared in "Batman: The Animated Series" in Season 1, Episode 5, "Pretty Poison." Dr. Pamela Isley, a botanist known as the eco-terrorist "Poison Ivy," approached Gotham City District Attorney Harvey Dent as a civilian. However, after kissing Pamela, Harvey suffered a toxic reaction and fell into a coma.
This Poison Ivy 1/6 scale collectible figure stands approximately 27.3 cm tall, faithfully recreating Poison Ivy's cartoonish yet still alluring appearance from the animation. Her curvaceous figure and voluminous hair are sculpted, and a flat coloring technique is used to capture the cel-animated flat style of the series. Her deadly, vibrant lip color from the show is also meticulously reproduced!
In terms of accessories, in addition to multiple interchangeable hands and an alternate head sculpt, the figure includes interesting items from various episodes: the extinct Wild Thorny Rose used to create poisonous lipstick in "Pretty Poison," the lipstick itself, and the toxic gas spray can used to attack Alfred and Batman in Season 1, Episode 29, "Eternal Youth"! Besides the evil smile and kissing expressions, the Timed Edition will also include the plant baby that appeared in Season 2, Episode 5, "House & Garden," allowing you to recreate thrilling scenes from the show with previously released Batman figures!
