BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division, Japan, has announced the latest product from its highly popular character model kit series『Figure-rise Standard』:「Ple-Two」 from "Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ", scheduled for release in February 2025.
Towards the end of the One Year War, the "Psycommu System" developed by the Principality of Zeon introduced weapons like the "Funnel" capable of all-range attacks, revealing the potential of mobile suits and Newtype pilots, as well as their strategic value in influencing future battles. While mobile suits could be mass-produced, the crucial Newtype pilots were extremely rare. The Earth Federation, distrusting Newtypes, resorted to inhumane "Cyber Newtype" modifications and brainwashing surgeries as alternatives. Meanwhile, Haman's Neo Zeon utilized cloning technology to mass-produce Newtypes known as the "Puru Series". However, the fate of the Puru sisters was no better than that of the Cyber Newtypes; one by one, these young lives perished in the merciless flames of war, becoming tools and sacrifices of conflict.
This product features 「Ple-Two」 from "Gundam ZZ", who guides the audience's perspective in witnessing the tragic fate of the Puru series. Her entire body utilizes a rich array of molded color parts, stickers, and precise part separation to faithfully recreate the pilot suit's design and colors. It includes one pre-printed face part, two face parts to be completed with water-slide decals, and two interchangeable head options: a helmet and a headgear. The helmet's visor is made of clear parts and can be freely attached and detached.
Flexible articulation is present in the neck, chest, and limbs, allowing for dynamic posing with various hand parts and a pistol. Furthermore, the product specially includes an alternate chest part with an unbuttoned collar, enabling the recreation of the melancholic pose from the cover illustration of video volume 10, where she appears to be imprisoned and dominated by the Psycho Gundam Mk-II, unable to escape her fate.
