Japanese toy company HobbyJAPAN (ホビージャパン)'s model brand "AMAKUNI" and Japan's largest toy shopping website amiami (あみあみ) have once again joined forces to release the latest limited edition work from "Chainsaw Man": the "Makima" (マキマ) 1/7 PVC pre-painted complete figure! Pre-orders are currently open on the amiami official website, with an estimated shipping date of May 2025, and a suggested retail price of 29,700 JPY (tax included).
"Makima" is a Devil Hunter who can distinguish the scent of devils and reports directly to the Chief Cabinet Secretary. She is also the superior of the protagonist, "Denji," in the Tokyo Public Safety Devil Extermination Special Division 4. While she appears gentle, she is anything but, and not only her personality but also her abilities are unpredictable. Many characters in the story are aware of Makima's terrifying and overwhelming strength; towards Denji, Makima uses an attitude that both captivates and frightens him, driving him to work as a Devil Hunter until his death. As the story progresses into its later stages, Makima is revealed to be the true identity of the "Control Devil," attempting to use the power of the Chainsaw Man to create what she believes to be a better society.
This figure stands approximately 25 cm tall, faithfully recreating Makima's signature look in her Public Safety uniform and black coat. Her distinctive pink hair and the target-like pattern in her pupils are meticulously reproduced. Her walking pose, with hands clasped behind her back and head slightly turned, is incredibly captivating. Coupled with Makima's subtly unsettling, "smile-without-smiling" expression, it perfectly captures her demeanor from the story. In addition to the finely sculpted wrinkles of her clothing, the striking dynamism of her flowing coat and her windswept hair further enhance her intimidating presence, reflecting her character's nature and exuding an irresistible power. Paired with a blood-stained circular base, it solidly conveys Makima's terrifying image from the later parts of "Chainsaw Man."
