Following "The Deep" and "Soldier Boy," MEDICOM TOY's popular 6-inch action figure series "MAFEX" is once again releasing a new product based on the highly popular R-rated superhero series "The Boys"—the "A-Train" action figure. The suggested retail price is 13,750 JPY, and it is expected to be released in July 2025!
A-Train, one of the Seven, possesses superspeed abilities akin to The Flash and Quicksilver. At the beginning of the series, protagonist Hughie's girlfriend, Robin, was accidentally killed by A-Train, who was experiencing side effects from Compound V, leading Hughie to seek revenge against supes. As the story progresses, even with somewhat selfish motivations, A-Train gradually undergoes a transformation, becoming increasingly unable to tolerate Homelander's actions.
This A-Train action figure stands approximately 16 cm tall, featuring his classic hero costume from the series. The facial features of actor Jessie Usher Jr. are sculpted in detail at this smaller scale. The chest armor is made with transparent material, faithfully recreating his on-screen appearance, and various details like the scales on his hero suit are meticulously painted! Accessories include multiple interchangeable hands, a grinning head sculpt, as well as the orange shoe backpack he carried in the first episode and two vials of Compound V.
