Japanese model manufacturer MEGAHOUSE unveiled the brand new collectible model series 'Light Link Museum', themed after "Mobile Suit Gundam", at today's 'MegaHobby EXPO 2024 past to the future'. Four in-development prototypes, including "Unicorn Gundam", "Sinanju", "God Gundam", and "Rising Freedom Gundam", were showcased. The release date is yet to be determined.
The 'Light Link Museum' series consists of mini collectible models featuring lighting and linking mechanisms. Designed with the image of Mobile Suits stationed in a hangar, each model comes with a hangar-shaped display case that has a light source on top to illuminate the figure below. These uniformly sized display cases can be stacked vertically using pegs and also include dedicated connecting parts to link two units horizontally.
Among the four Mobile Suit prototypes currently on display—"Unicorn Gundam", "Sinanju", "God Gundam", and "Rising Freedom Gundam"—one can observe height differences despite being produced at the same scale. The models also faithfully reproduce the distinctive features and armaments of each unit, such as Sinanju's "Sleeves" emblem on its chest and Unicorn Gundam's psycho-frame.
