The robot model kit series 'HG (High Grade)', launched by the HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., today officially announced detailed information for its latest product from the video game "Super Robot Wars OG", the "Weissritter", scheduled for release in March 2025.
The PTX-007-03C Weissritter is a PT (Personal Trooper) designed for artillery combat, modified from the "Gespenst Mk-II Type T" within the ATX Project, known for its extreme machine designs. It is piloted by Excellen Browning and operates in tandem with the "Alt Eisen", a decisive close-combat PT piloted by Kyosuke Nanbu. The Weissritter is equipped with a Tesla Drive and features significantly lightened armor throughout, making it the first PT capable of independent flight in humanoid form. While possessing excellent mobility, its durability and defense are extremely low, making it suitable for rear-line support of the Alt Eisen using long-range armaments such as the "Oxtongue Rifle".
The "HG Weissritter" is designed in the style of Masami Obari from the anime version, while also incorporating the original "Gespenst Modified Machine" settings by Weissritter designer Kazue Saito, thereby showcasing the styling and mechanisms evolved from the "HG Gespenst". The overall design faithfully recreates the armor composed of numerous curved surfaces, the distinctive "Tesla Drive" wings on the back, and the three-layered shoulder armor design.
Thanks to its lightweight armor design, the overall articulation is more flexible than the "HG Gespenst". The waist features multi-axis movable joints allowing it to twist forwards, backwards, left, and right. The shoulders utilize two-axis movable joints for up, down, forward, and backward movement. The horizontal wings and vertical stabilizers on the back also boast multi-directional movable structures, enabling dynamic and expressive poses.
For armaments, it includes the "Oxtongue Rifle," a twin-barreled long-range rifle capable of firing both beam and solid rounds; the left arm's "Triple Beam Cannon," which can recreate the barrel deployment with interchangeable parts; and the "Plasma Sword," which can be equipped with blade effect parts. Additionally, a dedicated back connection part is included, allowing it to equip the "Multi-Head Missile Pod" armament from the separately sold "HG Gespenst".
