Following the release of the standard version of Omegamon (X-Antibody), the "Figure-rise Standard Amplified" series, issued by BANDAI SPIRITS HOBBY Division in Japan and designed to enhance character settings and the dynamic expression of model kits, has once again announced a new variant product, "Omegamon (X-Antibody) [Limited Color]," slated for release in February 2025. This product will be exclusively sold on Bandai's official online store, PREMIUM BANDAI.
"Digimon Chronicle," featuring settings such as the X-Antibody and X-Program, is the background story for Bandai's "Digimon Pendulum X" series, released in 2003. When the Old Digital World exceeded its capacity and faced collapse, the managing host computer, "Yggdrasill," initiated the "Ark Project," transferring necessary Digimon to the New Digital World via the "X-Program," while unnecessary ones were completely deleted. Digimon determined to resist developed the "X-Antibody" to survive, and Yggdrasill dispatched powerful "Royal Knights" to eliminate these anomalies...
Omegamon was the strongest Royal Knight, obedient to Yggdrasill, believing Yggdrasill represented absolute justice and deleting large numbers of unnecessary Digimon. However, when his ally "Gallantmon" defected from the Royal Knights and was defeated by him, doubts began to arise in his heart, and his belief in justice wavered. Ultimately, guided by the protagonist Alphamon, he completely opposed Yggdrasill. When Alphamon perished alongside Dexmon using the Ouryuken, he entrusted the X-Antibody to Omegamon, allowing him to evolve into "Omegamon X-Antibody" and destroy Yggdrasill with his ultimate move, "ALL DELETE."
"Figure-rise Standard Amplified Omegamon (X-Antibody) [Limited Color]" is a modified version of the standard kit. Its body, the Garuru Cannon on its right arm, and the Grey Sword on its left arm have all been replaced with multiple metallic molding colors, presenting a distinct metallic luster and heavier feel compared to the standard version. For this product, renowned Digimon series designer As'maria-sensei was once again invited to create a double-sided 25th-anniversary illustration that can be mounted on the base, as well as new full-color box art.
Other specifications remain identical to the standard version. The overall design was supervised by designer As'maria, amplifying details across all parts within its 20 cm height. This further enhances the inherent mechanical texture of the X-Antibody version, powerfully depicting the mechanical structures and sharp armor lines of the Grey Sword on the left hand and the Garuru Cannon on the right. The back cape is rendered with multiple ultra-thin PET sheets and features a new movable mechanism that allows it to spread out like wings. Furthermore, various points across the body are equipped with circular pegs for expansion, allowing connection with parts from separately sold products to further amplify playability!
