BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd.'s Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS, under its popular die-cast toy line METAL BUILD, officially announced today the latest product from the 'CODE GEASS' series, the 'Lancelot Albion Zero', slated for release in June 2025.
The Lancelot Albion Zero is the KMF used by Suzaku Kururugi, who donned the ZERO mask and lived on as the leader of the Black Knights after the 'Zero Requiem' incident. This unit was rebuilt and improved based on research data from the 'Lancelot Albion' technical team led by Rakshata, and its performance is now on par with the 'Guren S.E.I.T.E.N. Eight Elements'. The white devil that once plunged the world into fear has been dyed black, its appearance symbolizing the world peace brought about by the Black Knights and their leader, ZERO.
The 'METAL BUILD DRAGON SCALE Lancelot Albion Zero' is a modification of the previously released Lancelot Albion. The entire machine has been reinterpreted by designer Manabu Shintani, reverse-engineering numerous new mechanisms to give it a new appearance that is sharper and more substantial than the original. In addition to the new black and gold paint scheme to reproduce the Zero's characteristic colors, new parts are also used to recreate the differently shaped chest, wings, and the MB original new setting 'hidden Lancelot mask', among others.
The entire machine similarly utilizes numerous alloy parts for its movable joints, incorporating the DRAGON SCALE sub-series' signature movable exterior and internal frame. Many areas, including the shoulders, hips, thighs, and knees, feature interlocking armor designs that allow for more natural posing. The connection between the torso and the back cockpit uses a roller-type crank mechanism, which can extend and retract in conjunction with the neck armor, allowing for cool sortie poses.
The weapon accessories are the same as the Lancelot Albion, including energy wings, energy shield effects, and two 'SUPER VARIS' rifles with a four-form transformation mechanism, as well as two 'MVS' electromagnetic vibration swords with both stored and activated forms. The highly dynamic 'Slash Harkens' can be connected to freely bendable cable parts to recreate scenes of them being launched from both wrists and the outer sides of both thighs, and the front claw parts can deploy without needing to replace parts.
The versatile Energy Wings boast a maximum wingspan of 65 cm. Thanks to built-in interlocking and sliding mechanisms, the range of motion at the base can be expanded, allowing for contour changes such as outward spread and forward tilt. With interchangeable parts, it can also recreate the float mode, which combines offensive, defensive, and flight capabilities. The base's printed design has been updated with a new pattern featuring the 'Black Knights' emblem and the unit's name.
