The robot-themed action figure series 'ROBOT SPIRITS', released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has announced the commercialization of a new product, 'RX-78F00/E Gundam Glass Feather Equipment', based on the 'RX-78F00/E Gundam Life-sized Statue' from the Japan World Expo. The release date is yet to be determined.
In the exhibition area of the 2025 Japan World Expo (Osaka-Kansai Expo), the 17-meter-tall 'RX-78F00/E Gundam Life-sized Statue' standing next to the 'GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION' exhibition hall is a modification of the previous life-sized movable Gundam from 'GUNDAM FACTORY YOKOHAMA'. It has been redesigned into a non-articulated statue in a high kneeling pose looking up at the cosmos, with the left shoulder armor, skirt armor, and leg armor replaced with new solar panel-like designs. When night falls, a special performance with lighting and smoke effects will take place.
However, the statue outside the pavilion is not the complete form of the 'RX-78F00/E Gundam'. A completely new video work played inside the pavilion will lead viewers into a 'world where humans and mobile suits coexist', experiencing a journey to a space station via an orbital elevator. Along the way, they will witness the Gundam equipped with 'Glass Feather' on its back, featuring magnificent solar panel wing designs.
The 'ROBOT SPIRITS RX-78F00/E Gundam Glass Feather Equipment' can be used with the separately sold 'ROBOT SPIRITS RX-78F00/E Gundam' main body to recreate the complete form appearing in the new video work. From the currently released preview images, it can be seen that the product utilizes precise sculpting and coloring to reproduce components such as the back wings, a pair of mechanical arms, and large thrusters, with transparent blue parts used to represent the magnificent solar panels.
