Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd.'s GASHAPON capsule toy division will release a new product based on the popular anime and manga series "Blue Lock" under its popular "Machibouke" (Waiting) series. The "Waiting Blue Lock" capsule toys will have a reference price of 400 JPY per turn and are scheduled for release in the fourth week of December 2024!
"Blue Lock" is a soccer-themed work originally written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro, illustrated by Yusuke Nomura, and adapted into an anime by animation studio 8bit. The story tells of the Japan Football Association launching the "Blue Lock Project" to win the 2022 World Cup. The project confines 300 strikers under the age of 18 in a facility called Blue Lock for a grueling elimination competition, aiming to eliminate 299 individuals and find the one in a million striker.
This "Waiting Blue Lock" series transforms popular characters from the series into sitting figures with an approximate two-head-tall proportion. It includes five types: Yoichi Isagi, Rin Itoshi, Meguru Bachira, Seishiro Nagi, and Hyoma Chigiri. Their outfits are the training uniforms worn during matches in Blue Lock. The Q-version proportions faithfully recreate the characters' design details, and their expressions, with hands clasped around their knees and blank faces, lined up are incredibly cute!
