BANDAI CANDY, the candy toy division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., has announced the latest product from its popular assembly model candy toy series, 'SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT', featuring 'R-GUN Rivale & Wildschwein' from the video game 'Super Robot Wars OG', slated for release in May 2025.
The 'R-GUN Rivale' and 'Wildschwein' included in this set are both mobile weapons previously piloted by the original game character, Ingram Prisken. Ingram is not only the leading authority in analyzing Extra-Over Technology (EOT) but also served as the leader of the PTX Team and the recruitment officer and instructor for the SRX Team, enjoying considerable popularity among players. In the game 'Super Robot Wars ORIGINAL GENERATION', he successively piloted the 'Wildschwein', a reinforced prototype of the Gespenst, and the 'R-GUN Rivale', which resembles a black angel and boasts over 100,000 HP.
The 'SMP R-GUN Rivale & Wildschwein' product includes the R-GUN Rivale and Wildschwein main units, along with a generous assortment of weaponry and effect parts. The R-GUN Rivale utilizes seven molding colors: purple, white, gold, metallic green, red, gray, and clear yellow. Once assembled, it stands at an impressive height of approximately 28 cm, faithfully reproducing its slender physique and sharp contours. The head parts offer a choice between anime version and game design artwork styles, and face parts with glowing eyes can be swapped in for both.
The entire model features flexible articulated joints, including pull-out elbows and knees. It comes with the beam sword 'Rouche Blade', the deployable funnels 'Gun Slave' weaponry, a magic circle effect part to recreate the special move 'Axion Buster', and four pairs of 'Light Hands' with different shapes and functions. Furthermore, it can be equipped with the Z.O. Sword and the HTB Cannon (formed from the R-GUN) included with the separately sold 'SMP R-2 Powered & R-3 Powered', allowing for a wide array of dynamic battle poses.
The 'SMP Wildschwein', once completed, stands at approximately 18 cm tall and is constructed from six molding colors: blue, dark blue, white, yellow, red, and gray. It boasts both the cool physique from its design artwork and articulated joints. Its rich array of weapon accessories includes the fixed left arm weapon 'Slash Boomerang' effect part, two beam swords, an M13 Shotgun, a G-Railgun, and a Photon Rifle, enabling a variety of battle scenes.
