Japanese model manufacturer Sentinel's popular die-cast action figure series 『RIOBOT』 has finally announced that the latest product from the manga "Linebarrels of Iron", 「VERDANT (Original Manga Version)」, which was teased a year ago, is expected to open for pre-orders within 2025. Alongside this announcement, some development prototypes have been revealed.
VERDANT is a close-combat MACHINA piloted by Reiji Moritsugu, the head of JUDA's Special Affairs Office, and is the most formidable combat unit among JUDA's MACHINA. In addition to its striking blue armor, its most distinctive feature is the multi-functional unit on its back, which normally carries a total of 12 variable stabilizers. This unit also functions as a shield and stores a total of 16 katanas, allowing for multi-katana attacks with one hand during combat. These stabilizers can also be reconfigured into large electromagnetic cannons for medium to long-range engagements.
The 「RIOBOT VERDANT (Original Manga Version)」, which was announced for commercialization around this time last year, has finally reached the final stages of prototype supervision and is expected to open for pre-orders within 2025. However, product details have not yet been released.
