Yesterday (23rd), Japanese company Kaiyodo announced on its official X account that the "Ingram Unit 1" from the upcoming new work "Patlabor EZY," which is set to officially launch next year, will be commercialized as part of its popular highly articulated figure series "REVOLTECH"!

"Patlabor" is a manga series by Masami Yuuki serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" from 1988 to 1994. In 1989, STUDIO DEEN and HEADGEAR animation studio adapted it into a theatrical film and a TV anime series, respectively. Among these, the theatrical film series directed by Japanese animation master Mamoru Oshii remains a highly discussed classic to this day! The story is set in a fictional period between 1998 and 2002, where humanity, due to rising sea levels, embarks on the "Babylon Project" to reclaim land using large piloted robots called "Labors." However, this also leads to frequent security incidents related to Labors. The work revolves around the Special Vehicles Section 2 (Patlabor Team) of the Metropolitan Police Department's Security Bureau, which is responsible for such cases and is equipped with large police robots called "Patlabors."
At the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France in 2017, it was officially announced that a new work, "Patlabor EZY," would be released. After many years, the project was finally confirmed last year to officially launch in 2026, with JC.STAFF handling the animation production!

This time, even before more information about the work itself is released, it has been announced that the iconic "Ingram Unit 1" from the series will be commercialized in Kaiyodo's "REVOLTECH" series, which focuses on combining exquisite sculpting with ultra-high articulation for fictional character action figures. Both the work itself and the product are highly anticipated!
