Released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, the "METAL ROBOT Damashii" series, which combines metallic paint finishes and alloy frames, has announced the commercialization of the Mobile Suits "Red Gundam" and "White Gundam" from "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX". Detailed information will be revealed on February 3, 2025.
The RX-78-02 White Gundam was originally the latest model Mobile Suit developed by the Earth Federation Forces in Universal Century 0079. However, due to the successful execution of ⏹︎⏹︎⏹︎⏹︎ by the ace pilot ⏹︎⏹︎・⏹︎⏹︎⏹︎⏹︎⏹︎ of ⏹︎⏹︎⏹︎⏹︎, this unit, along with ⏹︎⏹︎⏹︎⏹︎, fell into the hands of ⏹︎⏹︎⏹︎⏹︎. After modifications, it became ⏹︎⏹︎'s personal unit, the "Red Gundam". Yet, in an accident at the end of the One Year War, ⏹︎⏹︎ and the Red Gundam disappeared... Coming to Universal Century 0085, a mysterious boy appears piloting the Red Gundam in the illegal MS dueling arena, "Battle Group Showdown".
Currently, partial product images have been released for both the "METAL ROBOT Damashii White Gundam" and "METAL ROBOT Damashii Red Gundam". The models feature intricate sculpting and paintwork, faithfully reproducing the fresh new look designed by EVA designer Ikuto Yamashita. For weaponry, two beam sabers on the backpack and a shield can be seen, but it is not yet confirmed whether the Red Gundam's characteristic ⏹︎⏹︎⏹︎ armament will be included.
