The Danish LEGO toy company's LEGO Ideas series recently unveiled a new LEGO book-shaped creation of great scientific and historical significance: "21355 The Evolution of STEM"! It is scheduled for release on March 1, 2025, with a suggested retail price of US$79.99.
Here, STEM refers to the acronym for the four disciplines: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

The original design for this set comes from "Knowledge Is Power," the winning entry by danielbradleyy in the LEGO IDEAS building contest "Celebrate the wonder of STEM!" At the time, he used 528 pieces to construct a model depicting "knowledge bursting forth from an open book."

The officially commercialized "21355 The Evolution of STEM" retains the core of danielbradleyy's design concept and the book-based diorama format. The piece count has been increased to 882 pieces, and once assembled, it stands approximately 27 cm tall. On the beautiful book, we can admire scientific milestones from history, built with LEGO bricks! These include a retro-styled car, an early home computer with a bulky screen, NASA's Voyager Probe, Newton's apple tree, a planting bed, a space shuttle, a microscope, and a central carbon atom model with a rotatable DNA strand.

▼ In addition to the exquisite brick-built models, the minifigures included in this set are also quite remarkable! They include the first female Nobel laureate, "Marie Curie" (right), "Sir Isaac Newton" (left), who elucidated the law of universal gravitation, and the American agricultural chemist and botanist, "George Washington Carver" (center).
