Japan's Megahouse toy company, under its "LOOK UP" series which features numerous anime and manga characters with upward-gazing, chibi-style dynamic poses, has simultaneously launched two new products based on the recently aired popular anime SAKAMOTO DAYS: the "Taro Sakamoto" and "Shin Asakura" chibi character models. Each model has a suggested retail price of 4,840 Japanese Yen and is scheduled for release in late July 2025!
SAKAMOTO DAYS is a work by manga artist Yuto Suzuki, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since 2020. In January 2025, it was adapted into a TV anime by TMS Entertainment. The story follows Taro Sakamoto, once the strongest assassin, who, after retiring, marrying, and having a child, becomes an overweight middle-aged man. When his former assassin organization comes to settle scores, he teams up with his junior, Shin, who came to persuade him, to fight back against the organization.
Both LOOK UP figures stand approximately 11 cm tall, faithfully recreating Sakamoto's iconic store manager look and Shin's blue hoodie paired with gray sweatpants as adorable chibi character models. Despite their approximately 2-head-tall proportions, the details of their hairstyles and clothing are accurately reproduced. Sakamoto's simple design, especially his glasses' reflection and small mustache, stands out remarkably among other LOOK UP characters! Their heads are articulated, allowing for adjustments to their gaze and posing them in various upward-looking angles. Pre-ordering the two-figure set through official channels will also include bonus cushions to place under their bottoms. Toy enthusiasts interested in these figures should not miss out!
