The Cosmic Circus, a website frequently breaking exclusive entertainment news, recently published an interview with its editor, Alex Perez. During the discussion, Perez shared several Marvel Universe rumors he's currently tracking.

Among the most notable rumors Perez mentioned was the future trajectory of Robert Downey Jr.'s portrayal of the villain Doctor Doom within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Perez claimed that Downey is only slated to return for "Avengers 5: Doomsday" and "Avengers 6: Secret Wars," emphasizing that Marvel's decision to bring him back is rooted in specific story considerations.

While Perez didn't detail Marvel's exact reasoning, it's widely speculated that this iteration of Doctor Doom could be a variant of Tony Stark, thereby necessitating Downey's casting. Perez explicitly stated, "There's a reason why Doctor Doom will have his (Downey's) face."

Two years ago, Amy Pascal, a producer on all "Spider-Man" films, personally revealed that a live-action movie centered on Miles Morales was already in development. Perez now adds that the live-action Miles will be positioned within a future, rebooted Sony Pictures "Spider-Man" live-action universe. This new continuity is expected to launch after the events of "Secret Wars" and will bear no connection to any prior Sony iterations.
