Aniplex's 1/12 scale action figure series, 'BUZZmod.', has announced its latest product, 'Ryuko Matoi', from TRIGGER's original anime 'KILL la KILL', slated for release in October 2025.
The protagonist, Ryuko Matoi, transfers to Honnouji Academy, ruled by the Kiryuin Zaibatsu, in search of her father's killer, leading to intense clashes with the student council led by Satsuki Kiryuin. Despite her rough exterior, she possesses a gentle and delicate side. After staying with her best friend Mako Mankanshoku's family, she genuinely comes to regard them as her own. Ryuko fights using her father's memento, 'Senketsu the Kamui', and the weapon that killed her father, the 'Scissor Blade'. Upon activating 'Life Fiber Synchronize', she gains immense power, capable of severing opponents' Life Fibers.
The 'BUZZmod. Ryuko Matoi' figure is crafted with an articulated design, standing approximately 14 cm tall, bringing to life her pre-transformation appearance while wearing Senketsu. The jacket can be donned or removed by swapping upper body parts, and the lower pleated skirt is made of fabric, allowing for a completely unhindered range of motion for her legs.
Accessories include four interchangeable face parts, allowing for expressions such as Ryuko's confident smile, battle cry, squinting smile, and serious face. The figure also comes with the BUZZmod. series' characteristic non-articulated posing legs, enabling more natural high-kneeling poses, dynamic jumps, and other actions. Her signature weapon, the 'Scissor Blade', is included in its normal state, its transformed 'Decapitation Mode' state, and a guitar case for concealment.
