"Ranma ½" is a manga series by Japanese manga artist Rumiko Takahashi, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" from 1987 to 1996. It was adapted into a TV anime by STUDIO DEEN in 1989, and then re-animated by MAPPA in 2024. The story revolves around Ranma Saotome, a boy who falls into a cursed spring during training, turning into a girl when splashed with cold water and returning to his male form with hot water, and his fiancée Akane Tendo. It depicts their hilarious and chaotic daily lives filled with romantic entanglements and martial arts challenges.
This "Ranma Saotome" 1/7 scale pre-painted figure stands approximately 28 cm tall, depicting male Ranma unleashing his Hiryu Shoten Ha (Dragon God Ascension Blast). It meticulously recreates his focused expression and sculpts the flowing dynamics of his martial arts uniform and ponytail. The paintwork faithfully reproduces the colors of his red and yellow uniform and the texture of the rubble base, with airbrushing used to deepen shadows and enhance the contrast of light and shade. A major highlight of this piece is undoubtedly the Hiryu Shoten Ha effect parts surrounding Ranma, where the swirling vortex follows the figure's dynamic pose, extending upwards to form a dragon's head, greatly increasing the visual impact!
