The popular action figure series "S.H.Figuarts", released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, has announced the latest product from Tsuburaya Productions' special effects series "Ultraman Cosmos", the "Ultraman Cosmos Luna Mode", scheduled for release in September 2025.
Ultraman Cosmos, a giant of light who arrived on Earth from somewhere in the universe, is a hero embodying gentleness, strength, and courage, who cherishes all life and desires to create a peaceful world where Earthlings and monsters can coexist, while never forgiving those with evil hearts. His initial form, "Luna Mode," embodies Cosmos's gentle and compassionate heart, allowing him to neutralize opponents' fierce attacks with Tai Chi-like martial arts and unleash the "Full Moon Rectification" beam technique to calm rampaging monsters, protecting them while also resolving conflicts with humans.
The "S.H.Figuarts Ultraman Cosmos Luna Mode" has been thoroughly supervised by Tsuburaya Productions' LSS sculpting department, faithfully reproducing the elegant curves of the head, the silver-blue lines that express gentleness and compassion, and the unique double-hook-shaped Color Timer. The entire body is also designed with flexible articulation that minimizes visible joint gaps, allowing for dynamic poses, including the classic flying kick seen in the opening sequence.
Accessories include 5 pairs of interchangeable hand parts and a red light Color Timer, allowing for signature battle stances and Tai Chi-like techniques to neutralize opponent attacks. Furthermore, it includes effect parts for this mode's signature technique, the compassionate "Full Moon Rectification" beam, which calms rampaging monsters. The effect is faithfully recreated from the show through light particle pattern printing and four-color gradient painting.
