Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd.'s shokugan division "BANDAI CANDY" has announced that its super popular "Excavation Chocolate" series will feature "Mobile Suit Gundam"! The latest product, "Gundam Excavation Chocolate," will be released with 8 types, priced at 149 JPY each, and is scheduled for release in May 2025.
"Gundam Excavation Chocolate" offers the fun of eating, playing, digging, and assembling. It features a smooth milk chocolate layer with a multi-layered texture and rich cookie bits as its base. Embedded within the chocolate bar are Gundam character shapes made from various flavors including original chocolate, milk, strawberry, and caramel! Gently peel open the different colored and shaped chocolate blocks to reveal popular mobile suits from "Mobile Suit Gundam" and "Char's Counterattack" – delicious and cool!
There are 8 types included: Gundam (Front), Char's Zaku II (Front), Gundam, Char's Z'Gok, Gundam (Last Shot), ν Gundam, Sazabi, and one secret type. In addition to the mobile suit itself, there are also Gundam nameplates, weapon accessories, and background designs that make the overall presentation more vivid and complete. Although they will all eventually be eaten, the details are incredibly rich! It's perfect for children who are not yet able to assemble models, and adults should also come and take on the challenge!
