S.H.Figuarts, the action figure brand released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company, tonight (26th) on its official Instagram account, unveiled a first look at a new product based on the popular anime "Yu-Gi-Oh!" — a silhouette photo of "Yugi Muto"!
"Yu-Gi-Oh!" (遊☆戯☆王) is a manga series by Japanese manga artist Kazuki Takahashi, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from 1996 to 2004, and adapted into a TV anime by Toei Animation in 1999. The protagonist, Yugi Muto, is skilled in various types of games and toys, including video games and board games. After spending eight years solving the Millennium Puzzle he received from his grandfather, he became possessed by the spirit of a Pharaoh residing within the puzzle, becoming Yugi's second personality, Dark Yugi (Yami Yugi), whom Yugi himself refers to as "the other me."
Now, Yugi is also about to join the S.H.Figuarts lineup! We hope he can be displayed alongside monsters like the "Dark Magician," which is set to be released under S.H.MonsterArts! Further details will be announced later, and we are incredibly excited!
