Released by the HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., the "RG (Real Grade)" Gunpla series, which incorporates exterior armor, internal frames, interlocking armor, and new technologies into 1/144 scale models, has announced its latest product from the official side story "Mobile Suit Gundam 00V Senki": the "RG 1/144 Gundam Avalanche Exia Dash", slated for release in June 2025.
The GN-001/hs-A01 Gundam Avalanche Exia is an enhanced form of Gundam Exia that appeared in the official side story "Mobile Suit Gundam 00V". It is equipped with the newly developed "Avalanche Unit" by Celestial Being. Each part of the unit is designed with large-capacity GN Capacitors, allowing it to achieve acceleration performance surpassing that of Gundam Kyrios by releasing compressed GN Particles all at once, granting Exia's close-combat armaments high-speed penetration destructive power. In "00V Senki", this unit was further enhanced with the "Dash Unit" mounted on its legs, further improving the unit's maneuverability and mobility, and enabling high-speed movement in space.
The "RG 1/144 Gundam Avalanche Exia Dash" is based on a modified version of the previously released "RG Gundam Exia" main body. It utilizes a large number of newly molded parts to create enhanced equipment such as the "Avalanche Unit" and "Dash Unit". It also features the characteristic precise color separation, intricate part division, and rich detailed sculpting of the RG series to recreate its cool appearance, while also incorporating various mechanisms to reproduce its in-setting features.
This kit allows for the recreation of two forms, "Gundam Avalanche Exia" or "Gundam Avalanche Exia Dash", by swapping parts. The "Gundam Avalanche Exia Dash" can transform into "High Mobility Mode" or "High-Speed Movement Mode" through the deployment mechanism of the shoulder thrusters and the movable ski-like stands of the leg Dash Unit.
The armament includes Gundam Exia's characteristic "Seven Swords" loadout, comprising the GN Sword mounted on the right arm, GN Long Blade/Short Blade, two GN Beam Sabers, and two GN Beam Daggers. Except for the GN Sword fixed on the right arm, all other sword armaments can be stored on the back of the Avalanche Unit as per the setting. The Dash Unit also recreates the deployment mechanism of the mechanical claws at the front of the ski-like parts and can mount beam saber effects.
