Last October, reports surfaced that Amazon Prime Video was planning a miniseries reboot of Stephen King's iconic novel, "Carrie." Mike Flanagan, known for his adaptations of other King works such as "Gerald's Game" and "Doctor Sleep," was attached as executive producer. Now, recent whispers suggest Flanagan has identified his top choices for two pivotal roles.

According to acclaimed film and TV reporter Daniel Richtman, who shared the scoop on his Patreon page, 22-year-old actress Milly Shapiro is reportedly in talks to portray the new "Carrie." Shapiro gained significant recognition among horror fans seven years ago for her memorable role as Charlie in "Hereditary," where her character met a tragic, decapitating car accident. Additionally, Samantha Sloyan (pictured above), a frequent collaborator with Flanagan on projects like "Midnight Mass" and "The Haunting of Hill House," is reportedly in discussions to play Carrie's mother. As of now, no official casting decisions have been finalized or confirmed by the studio, and these remain unverified rumors.
