BANDAI SPIRITS' Collectors Division, TAMASHII NATIONS, is releasing a new S.H.Figuarts action figure based on the popular anime "SAKAMOTO DAYS" – the "Sakamoto Taro" action figure. It will retail for 9,900 JPY and is scheduled for release in August 2025!
"SAKAMOTO DAYS" is a work by manga artist Yuto Suzuki, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" since 2020. In January 2025, TMS Entertainment adapted it into a TV anime. The story follows Taro Sakamoto, once the strongest assassin, who, after retiring, marrying, having children, and becoming an overweight middle-aged man, is targeted by his former assassin organization. He teams up with his junior, Shin, who comes to persuade him, to fight against the assassins who appear one after another.
This S.H.Figuarts Sakamoto Taro stands approximately 16.5 cm tall and features Sakamoto's iconic store manager look with a yellow T-shirt and green apron. While faithfully recreating Sakamoto's bulky physique, it also sculpts his muscular arms, exuding powerful presence even in a static pose! The apron appears to be made of soft plastic to minimize impact on articulation. Accessories include two left and four right interchangeable hand parts, three interchangeable face parts, and a handgun. With its flexible articulation, you can pose him in various cool dynamic stances, and even display him alongside the simultaneously revealed "Shin Asakura" to recreate interactive scenes from the series!
