This time, in addition to "Taro Sakamoto," TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectibles division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has also unveiled another new product from the popular anime "SAKAMOTO DAYS: The Everyday Life of Sakamoto" under its S.H.Figuarts action figure brand: the "Shin Asakura" action figure. It has a suggested retail price of 9,900 JPY and is scheduled for release in September 2025!
Shin Asakura was originally Sakamoto's junior within the organization, a psychic with the ability to read minds. When concentrating, he can perceive the thoughts of others within a 20-meter radius. In the first episode, he was ordered by the organization to assassinate Sakamoto, who had left the group. However, after witnessing Sakamoto's happy and peaceful everyday life and receiving his warm hospitality, Shin decided to betray the organization. He was later saved by Sakamoto and began working at Sakamoto Store.
This S.H.Figuarts Shin Asakura stands approximately 14.5 cm tall, slightly shorter than Sakamoto. It features his iconic blue hooded jacket from the series, with sculpted details recreating the fabric's wrinkles. Articulation joints are integrated into the loose-fitting jacket, and it appears the jacket's hem is made of soft plastic to minimize impact on poseability. Accessories include 3 types of left hand parts and 2 types of right hand parts, 3 types of interchangeable face parts, and a handgun. With its flexible articulation, it can be displayed alongside Sakamoto to recreate scenes from the series!
