GOOD SMILE COMPANY, a Japanese figure manufacturer, has announced the latest product from its "Nendoroid" series of chibi-style finished figures, "Silence Suzuka" from "Umamusume: Pretty Derby," slated for release in July 2025.
Silence Suzuka is a quiet Umamusume with a mysterious and ethereal aura. She is always fully focused, dedicating her time to her beloved racing, and is not adept at interacting with others. Her running speed is astonishing; she excels at maintaining a lead from start to finish, claiming the front of the pack for herself and never yielding to anyone. Her prototype comes from the racehorse of the same name, active between 1997 and 1998. Although she achieved six consecutive wins in 1998 and was considered a rising star, her body gradually became overwhelmed. Ultimately, during the Tenno Sho (Autumn) race in the same year, she suffered a comminuted fracture of her left leg and was euthanized on the same day after being deemed incurable. In the anime, she also suffers a fracture, but fortunately, in this kind world, she miraculously recovers and even competes in races in the United States.
The "Nendoroid Silence Suzuka" captures her in her racing uniform, rendered in a cute, chibi-style 2.5-head-tall design, standing approximately 10 cm tall. It meticulously reproduces details such as her full-body accessories, costume colors, and the distinct left and right running shoes. In addition to simple articulated joints in her ears and limbs, the figure also includes various limb parts, interchangeable expression parts like "smiling face," "laughing face," and "troubled face," as well as accessories such as a "racetrack" and "strawberry daifuku," allowing for a wide range of emotions and scenes to be recreated.
