World-renowned Hong Kong toy company Hot Toys today (7th) announced its latest product from the DC superhero film《Batman Begins》, the "Scarecrow 2.0" 1/6th scale collectible figure! The estimated retail price is HKD 1,730.
Scarecrow, originally Jonathan Crane, specializes in using fear gas and drugs to trigger people's deepest fears, completely destroying opponents on a psychological level. An accomplished psychologist, he continuously researched human fear mechanisms and was also skilled in psychological warfare, making him a classic antagonist in Batman's stories.
In Nolan's Batman trilogy, Scarecrow was portrayed by Irish actor Cillian Murphy. In《Batman Begins》, during his first encounter with Batman, he profoundly made Bruce experience what fear truly was.
To commemorate the 20th anniversary of《Batman Begins》, the classic villain Scarecrow returns! The biggest highlight of this "Scarecrow 2.0" created by Hot Toys is the newly crafted trio of head sculpts, including a bare-faced version capturing Cillian Murphy's facial contours, a masked head sculpt realistically depicting the texture of a coarse burlap sack, and a terrifying fear mask head sculpt covered in insects that genuinely evokes dread. Each head sculpt features articulated eye design, and the bare-faced sculpt can also be paired with glasses, further enhancing its versatility.
The costume meticulously recreates the movie's design with a complete grey suit, pinstriped white shirt, dark blue tie, and black leather shoes. Accessories include a handheld hollow burlap sack mask, a watch, an ID card, fear toxin sprayers that can be equipped at the waist, smoke effects, a lighter, a flashlight, and an impressive briefcase with an opening and closing mechanism! The display base with a nameplate incorporates elements of Gotham City's underground sewers.
