Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya, known for its plastic model kit series "ARCANADEA" which blends fantasy and sci-fi elements, today officially announced a brand new sub-series, "XenoAlma", which further expands its worldview and playability. The first product, "Hydro Zeeforce", is scheduled for release in September 2025.
The new "XenoAlma" series consists of fantasy creature plastic model kits based on various animals, showcasing the ARCANADEA worldview. The kits utilize abundant clear parts to express a fantasy aesthetic and cleverly combine creature forms with armed designs. In addition to being displayed and played with individually in "Monster Mode," they can also link with ARCANADEA's DEARS characters, transforming into "Armed Mode" to become expanded weapons and armor for DEARS.
The first release, "Hydro Zeeforce", is a water-element fantasy creature resembling a seahorse. In "Monster Mode", it stands approximately 14.5 cm tall. It utilizes abundant blue clear parts to depict its magnificent seahorse-like dorsal fin and coiled tail, and various articulated joints allow for dynamic swimming and attacking poses.
In "Armed Mode", "Hydro Zeeforce" can be disassembled into a wealth of accessories, including head fins, shoulder armor, thigh armor, wing units, a sword, a gun, and a whip. It has high compatibility with Velletta, who is also water-elemental. Through 3mm connection joints and various articulated mechanisms, it can form diverse armed configurations.
Furthermore, "Hydro Zeeforce" can link with the simultaneously announced second XenoAlma product, "Trickle Decapodia". The two can combine to form a large XenoAlma, "Tidal Orcheatos", or a large shooting weapon, "Tidal Harpoon".
