We believe friends who enjoy Gunpla model kits have tried various techniques, such as painting, cutting, or weathering, all of which make their models more distinctive. They can also integrate other thematic elements, unleashing Gunpla's boundless creative freedom.
Today, we'd like to introduce a Japanese Twitter user, ポポゴリラ ( @changumu55 ), who excels at customizing Gunpla. He previously created an "HG Dragapult." This time, he once again disassembled, reassembled, painted, and combined several Gunpla kits to create the Pokémon Ultra Beast, "Buzzwole." The cross-franchise inspiration, coupled with the outstanding result, has left many netizens amazed by its effect and creativity.

"Buzzwole" is an Ultra Beast from the seventh generation's Pokémon Sun and Moon, codenamed "UB02: Absorption." It is a red Pokémon resembling a large, artificial mosquito, with its entire body covered in terrifying, swollen muscles. As a species from another world, it is considered a dangerous anomaly in the Pokémon world, though it appears to be a common creature in its native habitat.

The main parts chosen by the Twitter user include: Aerial Gundam, Lfrith Gundam, Demi Barding (from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury), and Gadessa (from Mobile Suit Gundam 00). Using these four kits provides a basic framework; the rest involves modifying parts to more closely resemble Buzzwole, then processing and painting them for assembly.
▼ If left unpainted, the prototype would look something like this.

▼ Therefore, repainting was essential. The entire kit was first coated in white, and then it was painted in Buzzwole's color scheme.

Once assembled, the intended colors are revealed. Combined with the original mechanical parts of Gunpla, this Buzzwole appears mechanized, and its coolness is self-evident.

The Twitter user, ポポゴリラ, also stated that this was his second attempt at combining Pokémon with Gunpla. It took some time, from choosing the Pokémon to selecting the materials, but he is very satisfied with the results this time and will continue to try more combinations in the future.
We wonder if other netizens would like to try such a modification. Take out your Gunpla parts and give it a try; you might just create an even more interesting piece! XD
