The manga series "Jujutsu Kaisen" officially wrapped up its six-and-a-half-year run last September. While the manga may be over, the third season of the TV anime, "Culling Game Arc," is currently in production. Plus, Japan is set to release a "Jujutsu Kaisen Hidden Inventory / Premature Death" compilation movie on May 30, bringing this high school saga of Gojo and Geto to the big screen.
Recently, the fourth installment of the "Jujutsu Kaisen" stage play series was announced, focusing on the "Hidden Inventory / Premature Death Arc." The main cast's costume visuals have been revealed, with performances scheduled for August and September in Tokyo and Osaka.
Since this is the fourth "Jujutsu Kaisen" stage play, many of the roles feature returning cast members. Gojo Satoru, Suguru Geto, and Masamichi Yaga are all played by the same actors, but with updated "Hidden Inventory / Premature Death" costumes. Of course, several characters making their stage debut are also featured.

Among the cast, Yuuki Kubota, who plays Toji Fushiguro, is a fan favorite with an impressive resume. He's previously starred in stage plays like "Sengoku Basara" as Date Masamune and "The Prince of Tennis Musical" as Keigo Atobe. He also famously played Takatora Kureshima / Kamen Rider Zangetsu in "Kamen Rider Gaim" and frequently appears in Japanese dramas. His casting has certainly thrilled many fans!
These "2.5D" stage adaptations of manga and anime are incredibly popular in Japan. Live performances offer a unique experience, with each show being slightly different and actors often interacting with the audience, adding an element of surprise. This dynamic engagement is a key reason for their widespread appeal, and the first three "Jujutsu Kaisen" stage plays were all met with rave reviews.
