Whenever Jackie Chan promotes a new film in Western countries or attends events, he is almost invariably asked about his most famous Hollywood franchise, the "Rush Hour" series. Even recently, while promoting the upcoming "Karate Kid" film, a new installment in "The Karate Kid" franchise, he was asked which of the three "Rush Hour" movies was his favorite. His answer was not entirely surprising.

During a recent appearance on BuzzFeed's popular "The Puppy Interview" segment, Jackie Chan revealed his ranking of the "Rush Hour" films. He stated, "I don't know, but you know what? When we shot the first one, our budget was very low, and time was very tight. We were rushing every day. For the second one, the budget increased a lot, and we had a lot of time. For the third one, the budget was too high, and we had too much time. And too high a budget is not a good thing." Chan implied that without appropriate budget and time constraints, a film becomes difficult to manage, leading to loose ends in various aspects. This sentiment generally mirrors fan preference for the series, with the first installment consistently regarded as the best.
