Rumors surrounding the Marvel Cinematic Universe's mutant casting have been gaining steam in recent months, and the latest claims come from Cartier Films. According to the outlet, Magneto's daughter Polaris, pictured below, will appear in the first installment of the new "X-Men" franchise, though her role may be limited. Cailee Spaeny, pictured above at center, is reportedly auditioning for the part after previously being linked to both Kitty Pryde and Rogue.

Cartier Films also reports that Marvel has already cast Kitty Pryde but has yet to announce the actor. Meanwhile, Morgan Spector, pictured above, is said to be under serious consideration for Magneto.
In April 2026, reports surfaced that Marvel was developing an adaptation centered on Alpha Flight, the Canadian superhero team. Cartier Films now claims that Ryan Reynolds is spearheading the project and writing the screenplay himself. The outlet says the movie could ultimately become "Deadpool 4" or move forward as a standalone feature. Reynolds has reportedly already begun casting for the script, including a search for an actor who could play the next Wolverine.
