"Scream 7" Star Mckenna Grace Rules Out Nudity and Sex Scenes — But Still Dreams of Playing a Disney Princess

Young star Mckenna Grace, known for movies including "Scream 7," is currently promoting her latest film, "The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping." In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, she opened up about the roles she will not take, explaining that she is not comfortable with nudity or heavily sexualized material at this point in her career — especially since she still dreams of playing a Disney Princess on the big screen.

Asked what kinds of roles she would immediately turn down, Grace said she currently has a firm boundary against nudity and highly sexualized content. While she respects performers who are comfortable with such material, she admitted that the prospect frightens her.

Grace added that her feelings could change in the future and stressed that she is not limiting herself to wholesome projects. After all, her character was brutally gutted by Ghostface in "Scream." Even so, she still hopes to play a Disney Princess someday.

Amanda Seyfried recently spoke publicly about setting similar boundaries around intimate scenes. During an October 4, 2026, appearance at the Hamptons International Film Festival, she revealed that she had passed on a television series because its script called for numerous sex scenes:

Seyfried explained that the identity of her scene partner made no difference. She simply felt uncomfortable with the material and had no interest in filming those scenes at this stage of her life.

The actor added that she might feel differently if the project returned in the future, but for now, she does not want to deal with being naked alongside a stranger.

Beyond discussing her on-screen boundaries, Grace also reflected on being a longtime fan of "The Hunger Games." Growing up, she collected posters from the franchise, bought a bow and arrow to imitate Katniss Everdeen and even created fan edits using clips from the movies.

Grace plays District 12 tribute Maysilee Donner in the upcoming film and also portrays her twin sister. Determined to honor the source material, she personally asked the director to preserve Maysilee’s braids and pin. Grace described the character, who is often perceived as mean, as sharp-tongued but kindhearted and fiercely protective of the people she loves.

"The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping" opens in North American theaters on November 20, 2026.
