Hi-Fi headphone brand Acoustune's sub-brand, ANIMA, has been on a roll with its anime collaborations, previously dropping hits with fan-favorite series like Bocchi the Rock!, BanG Dream! MyGO/Ave Mujica, and Jujutsu Kaisen, all of which were a massive hit with fans.
Now, they're teaming up with the wildly popular mobile game, Blue Archive, to launch a special edition wireless over-ear Bluetooth headset! This time, the spotlight is on the beloved character "Plana." Priced at 25,000 JPY, these beauties will be available for pre-order on the ONKYO official website starting June 24.
For those unfamiliar, "Plana" is Blue Archive's resident system administrator and main OS from an alternate timeline's Shittim Chest, appearing as a young girl upon activation.
Originally serving Sensei in her own timeline, Plana intended to depart after saving the current timeline's Sensei but was persuaded to stay by Arona. She now works alongside Arona in this timeline's Shittim Chest, becoming Sensei's second secretary and affectionately calling Arona "Arona-senpai."
(Psst! ANIMA also previously released a Blue Archive x ANIMA True Wireless Earbuds: Arona.Ver!)
These headphones are built on ANIMA's highly-praised ANIMA AOW03 model, specifically engineered for listening to anime music. They offer both wired and wireless connectivity, giving music lovers the freedom to choose their preferred listening style. Boasting impressive battery life, you can enjoy up to 37 hours of continuous playback, with convenient USB Type-C charging.
The earcups feature sleek aluminum panels, emblazoned with the iconic Shittim Chest logo and Plana's signature colors. And get this – the packaging comes with an exclusive illustration of Plana, specially drawn for this collaboration by artist Yatsuha (@lcr828)!
But let's be real, the absolute highlight here is the custom voice prompts recorded by Plana herself (CV: Konomi Kohara)! Imagine hearing Plana greeting you, Sensei, and accompanying you through your music sessions. Pure bliss!
