Nintendo eShop Launching in Taiwan on September 9th, Official Social Channels Now Live!

Get ready, gamers! Nintendo Taiwan Co., Ltd. officially announced today (August 25) that the "Nintendo eShop," previously available only in Japan, will officially launch its services in the Taiwanese market starting the morning of September 9th. Alongside this exciting news, Nintendo Taiwan has also established its official social media presence, including a Facebook fan page, Instagram account, and YouTube channel.

The "Nintendo eShop" is the go-to online store for purchasing digital download games on the Nintendo Switch. Earlier this year, Nintendo Japan announced it would stop supporting overseas credit cards and international PayPal accounts, leaving many players unable to buy content from the Japanese eShop.

But with the official launch of the eShop in Taiwan, players can now conveniently purchase and download game software, add-on content (AOC), and Nintendo Switch Online memberships, promising a smoother and richer gaming experience.

While specific details are still under wraps, this is a massive win for Taiwanese players. Having a dedicated eShop finally opens up a world of possibilities for game purchases and services. Now, we just have to wait and see how Nintendo plans to run things!
