If you're into Gunpla, you've probably dabbled in all sorts of techniques – painting, cutting, weathering – anything to make your kits truly pop. Some even go all out, crafting intricate dioramas to crank up that Gunpla charm!
Recently, Japanese Gunpla maestro Hasuneru (@hasuneru) dropped his latest passion project on X: a "Mobile Suit Gundam" Zaku diorama that's absolutely blowing minds. He's woven a whole narrative into the piece, giving the mobile suit and its surroundings an incredible sense of realism that's earned him massive praise online.

We've actually featured Hasuneru's work before, specifically his Wing Gundam Zero diorama from "Mobile Suit Gundam Wing". His insane talent even snagged him the runner-up prize at the 11th GWBC (GUNPLA BUILDERS WORLD CUP) Japan Finals in 2023.

This masterpiece took home first place in the "Big Cannon Contest" at the Chiba Shibori Model Exhibition recently. His concept? A massive, top-secret weapon slowly decaying and returning to nature, all while polluting its surroundings. He titled the piece "The Unforetold End."

The showstopper is definitely that massive cannon, loaded with what looks like a nuclear warhead. And get this – another projectile, possibly a bioweapon, has crashed into the river, polluting it! On the wall, there are classified Zeon documents with redacted operational outlines, but the scientist's signature? "Hasuneru" – yep, that's him!

As for the Gunpla Zaku, it's positioned as a support unit, weaponless, primarily equipped with radar and supplies – kind of like a scout. It's got that battle-worn vibe, and you can even spot grass growing on its frame, showing the passage of time.

That eye-catching cannon? It's crafted from plumbing pipes! Hasuneru mentioned the material was incredibly heavy and tough to work with. He also incorporated parts from Kyoukai Senki and 30MM kits, making the whole process a real grind.

This diorama is just epic, radiating a powerful charm that you can feel just by looking at the photos. We highly recommend checking out Hasuneru's other work; he frequently shares his creations on his X account, so go give him a follow if you're intrigued!
