This Modeler Built a "HG Mega Gardevoir" with Mechanical Skirt and Stunning Paint Job!

We've previously featured Japanese master modeler Popogorilla ( @changumu55 ), who wowed us with his incredible Pokémon-themed Gunpla builds, including the "HG Dragapult" and "HG Giratina Origin Forme." Now, he's back with another mind-blowing creation! He's taken several Gunpla and 30MS kits, disassembled, repainted, and reassembled them to craft the beloved Pokémon "Mega Gardevoir." His ingenious concept and the stunning execution of the finished product have left countless netizens absolutely floored.

For this project, Popogorilla once again utilized various parts from Gunpla, 30MS, and other model kits. He meticulously experimented with different combinations, striving to capture the elegant silhouette of "Mega Gardevoir." However, since Gardevoir's form differs significantly from a typical mecha, selecting the right components proved to be quite a brain-teaser for him.

For instance, the backpack thrusters from Wing Gundam Zero were ingeniously repurposed for the back of Gardevoir's skirt.

Once all the parts were assembled into the bare frame, it was still hard to imagine the final product, but you could definitely start to see the shape taking form.

After a preliminary repaint, the entire piece was then fully painted to resemble Gardevoir.

Once painted, the correct colors really popped, and combined with the inherent mechanical elements of Gunpla, this Mega Gardevoir takes on an almost fully mechanized appearance. It gives off vibes similar to a Paradox Pokémon like Iron Valiant, yet its overall look remains unmistakably Gardevoir.

Looking at it from the back, you can really appreciate how Gardevoir's original skirt has been completely reimagined with mechanical components, creating a truly surprising and powerful aesthetic.
